Innovative structural steel work such as radius cut beam moment connections and buckling restrained braces before they were widely used in the US market in the early 2000s.

Scott has intensely observed the ever changing built environment around him since his childhood in Seattle. After graduation from Roosevelt High School he earned a B.A. in Architecture and Minor in City and Regional Planning from the University of California at Berkeley then earned a M.S, in Construction Engineering and Management at Stanford University.
His career has focused on the most technically challenging projects he can find whether prototyping small, Wi-Fi enabled shelters on a corporate campus or leading structural coordination of a downtown high-rises or new healthcare projects.
Scott collaborates with anyone involved in a project and loves figuring out what questions need to be asked to keep projects moving and answers flowing.
